Long time, no post
I went off my diet/exercise program with the expected results of putting weight back on. It's one of the problems that people with weight issues constantly fight. You stop doing what you're supposed to do and gain back a bit of the weight you've lost, you get depressed about the weight gain and gain even more weight until eventually you gain it all back plus more.
Well screw *that* scenario. I'm back on track, and I plan on staying there. I've been back to weighing/measuring/tracking my food since last Monday, and I've been hitting the gym/exercising. Granted, it's only been a week, but I've been very good so far. However, yesterday was not a success in the exercise portion of the day's plan. I work only a short distance from my gym so I've been going there at lunch time for a quick 30 minute workout. Yesterday when I got there I discovered that I'm packed a black t-shirt instead of the pants I though I'd put in there. /facepalm
So, no big deal, I figured. I'd do my resistance band workout at home instead. And the resistance band (many, *many* years old) broke. Okay, well I have the Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred DVD that I'd borrowed from the library and hadn't tried yet.
O. M. G. Jesus, that thing could kill you! It's tough. At least it was for me. I was only able to do the first circuit (strength/aerobics/core) before I was gasping for breath and sweating like a pig. So while I got some exercise in yesterday, not a constant 30 minutes. But today I'm all set, so I'll do better.
With regard to tv. PROJECT RUNWAY IS BACK!!!! :-) I like the new format they're trying this year. And it looks like we'll have the usual drama, drama, drama with the contestants, so that's fun. :-)
I was only slightly disappointed with the winner of HGTV Star. I wanted the other person to win, but I don't hate the winner. But it really doesn't matter because they put those shows on at a time when no one can watch them anyway. LOL
The Next Food Network Star is a gigantic hot mess this year. o_O
I know I need to catch up with Supernatural, but I keep having a hard time getting into Season 7. Summer will be over soon, and I'll end up yet another season behind.
I'm several episodes into Teen Wolf S2, and except for the teenage love business, I'm enjoying the season.
Oh, and by the way, with regard to the Shred DVD? I immediately ordered it from Amazon. It may be a killer, but at least it'll help me leave a good-looking corpse! LOL
